Biography
Cindy M. Lott is a clincial professor at the O'Neill School, as well as an attorney and faculty member at Indiana University's Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. Her teaching, research, and consulting work spans nonprofit leadership, management and strategy, governance, ethics, legal compliance, regulation, and policy.
Lott develops and moderates a series of national convenings on state and federal regulation of the charitable sector and is engaged in research regarding charitable regulatory policy and the regulatory framework in the charitable sector in the United States. She is a frequent speaker at national conferences in the areas of nonprofit policy, governance, management, ethics, compliance, and state and federal charitable regulation. She has worked at large law firms in compliance, employment litigation and transactional litigation, and is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, Indiana and Massachusetts.
