Paul H. O’Neill Center for Leadership in Public Service

Shaping tomorrow’s public service leaders

The Paul H. O’Neill Center for Leadership in Public Service at Indiana University is dedicated to strengthening society by preparing the next generation of leaders.

Building on the O’Neill School’s more than 50-year commitment to advancing the public good, the center enhances student leadership programs, expands executive education opportunities, and bridges research with real-world solutions. By leveraging cross-campus resources in Bloomington and Indianapolis, the center fosters new pathways for experiential learning, professional development, and community engagement.

Named in honor of former U.S. Treasury Secretary and IU alumnus Paul H. O’Neill, the center reflects his extraordinary leadership across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. The O’Neill family’s $30 million gift in 2019 established scholarships, fellowships, and faculty positions, furthering O’Neill’s legacy of service and dedication to the greater good.

With a focus on leadership development, global partnerships, and applying research to practice, the center equips leaders to drive positive change around the world.
