Honors program at the O'Neill School
If you enjoy being challenged, the O’Neill Honors Program will provide you with even more opportunities to make a real impact.
Program requirements
To successfully complete the O’Neill Honors Program, you must:
- Maintain a 3.3 GPA in Honors courses, and in each term, and cumulatively
- Complete 24 total Honors credit hours (15 hours of required O’Neill Honors courses plus 9 hours of Honors electives)
- Complete HON-H 200 (Introduction to Honors)
- Complete the Senior Portfolio course (HON-H 496)
- Complete an Honors course or experience every semester.

- Membership in the IU Indianapolis Honors College and use of the Honors College facility, which includes a collaborative study space and interaction with other Honors students

- Opportunities to join honors student organizations
Admission requirements
- Be admitted to the O’Neill School at IU Indianapolis
- Have completed 12 credit hours of IU Indianapolis coursework with at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA
- Be enrolled as a full-time student
- Complete the O’Neill Honors Program application
- Have at least four full semesters remaining before graduation
