Washington Leadership Program

Live, work, and learn in D.C.

The Washington Leadership Program (WLP) will give you the opportunity to network with professionals leading the way in the nation’s capital—all while gaining valuable career experience and class credit. In the program, you'll develop the professional skills needed to become a leader and make a difference.

The semester-long program is offered in both the fall and spring. Junior and senior undergraduate students from all majors at all IU campuses are eligible to attend.

Apply to the Washington Leadership Program

Students typically participate in WLP during the fall or spring semester of their junior or senior year. Admission is open to all IUPUI and IU Bloomington students. WLP participants serve as university ambassadors in the nation’s capital and represent the O’Neill School as a future generation of leaders. We are currently accepting applications for the upcoming fall and spring cohorts. If you have any questions about applying to the WLP, please contact wlp@iu.edu for additional information.
